How do credits work?
Credits are consumed for each transcript generation or API call. Currently, one credit is consumed per transcript generation, regardless of video length. Similarly, each API call consumes one credit. For YouTube videos with multiple language captions, switching to a different language will also consume one credit per language. For example, if a video has English, Spanish, and Chinese captions, getting the English version costs 1 credit, and switching to Spanish or Chinese will each cost an additional 1 credit. Any changes to the credit system will be carefully considered and discussed with our subscribers before implementation.
What can 10 credits do?
With 10 free monthly credits, you can: (1) Generate transcripts for 10 YouTube videos that have existing captions (unlimited duration); OR (2) Transcribe about 10 minutes of local media files or YouTube videos using our AI transcription service; OR (3) Any combination of the above. For example, you could transcribe 5 YouTube videos with captions + 5 minutes of AI transcription. Note: If you switch to a different language for a video that has multiple caption languages, each language switch will consume an additional credit. This gives you plenty of flexibility to explore our service and find the workflow that works best for you!
Why would I need YouTube AI transcript generation?
YouTube AI transcript generation is essential when videos don't have existing captions or when you need advanced features like speaker diarization (identifying and separating different speakers in conversations, interviews, or panel discussions). Many YouTube videos lack captions (podcasts, live streams, older content, or videos in less common languages). Our AI transcription service uses advanced speech recognition to generate accurate transcripts for any video, regardless of whether it has captions. With speaker diarization, each speaker's dialogue is clearly labeled (Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc.), making it perfect for transcribing interviews, meetings, podcasts with multiple hosts, or panel discussions. Additionally, AI-generated transcripts often provide better accuracy and formatting compared to auto-generated YouTube captions, making them ideal for professional use, content analysis, or accessibility purposes.
What happens when I run out of credits?
You can continue using your free monthly quota, or purchase additional credits. We'll notify you when your credits are running low.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes, you can change your plan at any time. When upgrading, you'll be charged the prorated difference. When downgrading, your new rate will take effect in the next billing cycle.
What payment methods do you accept?

Is there a refund policy?
No, we do not offer refunds for subscription purchases. We provide a generous free plan with 10 monthly credits that allows you to thoroughly test our service and experience its full capabilities before committing to a paid subscription. How do one-time plans work?
One-time plans are perfect for users who don't want monthly subscriptions. You pay once and get credits that are valid for 1 year from the purchase date. Credits can be used for both YouTube videos and local file transcriptions. No recurring charges, no commitment.
What happens when my one-time credits expire?
If your credits expire after 1 year, you can purchase a new one-time plan or switch to a monthly/annual subscription. We'll notify you before your credits expire so you can decide how to proceed.
